We provide training for challenge course professionals, from introductory staff to seasoned course managers or program directors.

We are also a Preferred Vendor Member of ACCT able to provide training and testing for all levels of challenge course certification.

What Sets Us Apart

When you’re looking for a provider of challenge course services, we hope you choose Project Adventure. There’s a lot that sets us apart:

  1. Experience. Our lead inspectors and installers have each been working in the challenge course construction field for at least 10 years – and most for more than 20 years.

  2. Multi-Service Approach. Project Adventure is one of very few organizations in the country who provide both challenge course construction/inspection services, and training. We also provide consulting on Local Operating Procedures and adventure program development. Our design team includes facilitators who have a decade or more of experience using challenge courses, so we can advise you well on how to create and run the right program for your goals.

  3. Risk Management. We have a dedicated Director of Safety and Risk Management who is highly published and regarded in the field; he literally wrote the book, Guide to Challenge Course Operations. We also have an internal Safety Committee that closely reviews all new equipment, operating recommendations, training procedures, and more.

  4. Accreditation. Project Adventure is the only organization in the country accredited by both the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and the Association for Experiential Education (AEE), two leading trade organizations with rigorous accreditation programs.

  5. Certification. Our builders and inspectors are licensed by Massachusetts’ Office of Public Safety and by the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Every inspection we conduct is attended by a fully certified inspector and reviewed by a lead inspector.

  6. Compliance and Legality. Project Adventure follows all state laws and only operates in the states where we are fully certified as a construction company. We also follow federal payroll laws for Prevailing Wage in relevant states, are OSHA compliant, and are compliant with all ACCT professional standards.

  7. Fully Insured. We are covered by organizational liability insurance and each of our builders and inspectors is fully covered by a Workers Compensation policy in case of injury.

  8. Depth of Knowledge. Our team is well-versed in building standards, safety practices, and high-quality construction of challenge courses. We are also a Preferred Vendor Member of ACCT able to provide training and testing for all levels of challenge course certification. Our training and building teams work closely together.
