SEL Groups
Project Adventure facilitators lead semester-long SEL curriculum for all grades
Make Social-Emotional Learning Fun!
Project Adventure’s SEL Groups embed in your school day or afterschool program. Our facilitators use ice breakers, games, and team-building challenges to teach important skills. Each lesson builds on the last. Our customized approach means that SEL Groups can work for any age, and are a universal intervention for all levels of need or ability.
Self-awareness, social awareness, emotional management, and more! SEL Groups can help your students learn and grow.
How They Work
Groups of 15-25 students work with a Project Adventure facilitator for a series of sessions, typically about 1 hour each. This can take place during the school day or afterschool hours.
Group size can vary. We maintain a 20:1 ratio for both safety and effectiveness.
Activities include ice breakers, games, relationship-builders, problem-solving challenges, and creative reflection.
Can include a trip to the Project Adventure challenge course or, in some cases, incorporate use of your course if you have one on-site.
Learning goals align with CASEL’s framework for SEL, and can be targeted for your specific group.
The size and span of SEL Groups is very flexible. The number of groups that meet, amount of time they meet for, and numbers of sessions, are defined by your need and budget.
Adaptable for all ages, from PreK through high school!
Your school or program should be within 30 miles of Project Adventure.
